The MMPA Fall Tech Ed & Plant Tours offered nine locations this year, increasing the educational offerings and overall value of the program.
Each location offered different learning opportunities. For example:
Stanza Machinery’s tour exhibited the process of how to build a piece of equipment from design through completion.
Weinig’s array of millwork equipment on their facility floor coupled with knowledgeable representatives made for engaging conversations on equipment needs.
ECMD doubled-down by showcasing their millwork manufacturing facility plus their Crown Heritage operation for an expanded tour stop.
Stiles Machinery’s numerous action stations with educational components interwoven by their highly-skilled team member talks gave attendees opportunity to explore their equipment possibilities.
Axalta opened their color design studio for a comprehensive dive into color trends to include the development, implementation and support offered by their team when working with their company.
Specializing in custom moulding profiles, Smith Millwork showcased a wide range of products including columns, decking, doors, exterior millwork, railing, stair parts and stock mouldings.
The sheer size and operation of the Egger facility along with their company history, culture and breadth astonished all tour attendees.
Windsor Windows & Doors expansive operations in Monroe, NC impressed attendees from the moment they walked into the facility. However, the 200,000 sq. ft. thoughtful, open floor design is only part of their impressive presence.
Superfici America’s automated coating, spraying, drying, sanding and finishing systems ended this manufacturing tour on a high note with their team ready to address questions manufacturers had when thinking about integrating new equipment into their production.
