Quebec City Spring Meeting 2024 Recap

The MMPA recently enjoyed a warm reception at the Hotel Manoir Victoria in Quebec City for the Spring Meeting of 2024.

As always, the program attracted attendees from South and North America providing a rich environment for discussions regarding freight/logistics, trends in millwork, raw materials, distribution and the manufacturing temperature in Asia and the Americas.

Allen Dyer was awarded the prestigious Warren C. Jimerson Award of Excellence, a well-deserved recognition.

The innovation and automation session along with the presentation by FEA’s Paul Jannke were highlights of the education line-up.

Attendees enjoyed all that Quebec had to offer in terms of fine dining establishments, the rich history found around every cobble-stoned street’s corner, and the friendly locals.

Quebec City’s best restaurants were selected for nightly companion-filled revelry, followed by a program ending President’s Farewell 7-course dinner designed by renowned Chefs Jean-Luc Boulay and Arnaud Marchand.

The MMPA makes sure to prioritize both attendees and their guests by creating a wonderfully curated itinerary of fine dining, bus tours, historical walking tours, and they even got to craft their own handmade moccasins alongside local indigenous people.

The Buddy Pairings Photo Contest had many creative entries but John Morrison, Steve Bosley, Brian Houghton, Tony McAuley took first place with by showing off their love for Quebec City!

Here are a few more of our favorites to commemorate the wonderful relationships forged in the association.

There was a great energy felt throughout the WM® Millwork Marketplace.

If you missed it, we hope to see you there next year when we gather in Savannah, Georgia at The DeSoto Hotel from April 27-30, 2025.

Watch the newsletter and our events page later this summer for more information on Savannah.
